BACKGROUND

In light of the ongoing global economic slowdown and shifting national priorities, the Indonesian Contractor Association is launching the business matchmaking forum, AKI Connect. This initiative is designed as a strategic platform to address emerging challenges in infrastructure development.

As the government reallocates a significant portion of its budget from infrastructure to other urgent sectors, the involvement of the private sector has become increasingly crucial.

Even with diminished public funding, infrastructure continues to play a central role in driving long-term economic growth, especially in a vast and diverse nation like Indonesia. Many areas still face shortages in transportation, energy, and essential facilities, indicating a substantial potential for investment and growth.

AKI Connect provides an important opportunity for collaboration in Indonesia’s construction sector. During this forum, members and partners of the Indonesian Contractor Association will showcase Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects available for investment. Organizations taking part are encouraged to explore partnership possibilities that contribute to national infrastructure development. Each presentation will offer comprehensive information on partnership models and practical steps for conducting business in Indonesia.

AKI Connect is dedicated to narrowing the gap between opportunity and funding by attracting both domestic and international partners through robust PPP projects. The forum serves as a collaborative platform, aligning business goals with Indonesia’s development priorities.
